Although not required at the time of our certification, Avalon Air LLC has an approved SMS Manual with guidance to assure the utmost care and safety for all our clients and personnel.

A safety management system (SMS) is essentially a quality management approach to controlling risk and an organization-wide comprehensive and preventative approach to managing safety.

An SMS includes a safety policy, formal methods for identifying hazards and mitigating risks, and promotion of a positive safety culture. Additionally, an SMS also provides assurance of the overall safety performance of this flight operation, integrating into the existing operations and business decision-making processes. Overall, the SMS will assist Avalon Air LLC’s leadership, management teams, and employees in making effective and informed safety decisions.

The specific functional components of Avalon Air LLC include:

• Training and proficiency

• Flight operations;

• International operations (when applicable);

• Aircraft equipment requirements;

• Aircraft maintenance;

• Operations policies and procedures;

• Emergency accident/incident response;
